I
want to invite everyone in the Blaine area to join Chain of Lakes for our Grand
Opening this Sunday, February 8. We are
going to welcome people to our new facility which is located on 10130 Davenport
Street NE in Blaine, adjacent to Doug’s Power and Equipment and near Hockey
Central.
We
will have two worship services on Sunday—9:00 and 11:00 a.m. We are asking everyone to bring a basket of
items for homeless teenagers at Blaine High School. In particular we are encouraging people to
bring peanut butter, crackers, canned meat, spaghetti sauce, pasta and
canned fruit.
We
have a two marvelous worship services planned for this Sunday. Kristel Peters and the Chain of Lakes band
will do a fabulous job of leading us in singing. We will interview leaders at Blaine High
School about the issue of teen homelessness.
I will be preaching on my favorite Scripture story in the Bible, Acts
2:37-47. And we will show off our new
home! It’s a place that I believe the
community will enjoy. The theme of
worship is “Home is where the heart is.”
We will go deep into exploring what it means to find a home.
We
will have a celebration social time at 10:15 a.m.
We
believe we will have a large crowd at each worship service. Invite your friends, neighbors and family and
come early to worship. This promises to
be a wonderful celebration!
